For a class at OSU this semester I have created a blog and a twitter. I have never been a fan of social media however I am being forced to expand my knowledge of the subject.

We just finished up what was called a Week of Tweets. We were required to tweet at least once a day which is a strong stretch for me.

However, I found it wasn’t too bad. I actually felt a lot more up to date on current affairs. I learned a lot about the political campaigns currently going on and enjoyed that I got updates from only things or sites I was interested in.

I definitely am learning how social media really does connect the public to an event, brand, celebrity, etc.

I then found myself transported and, well, relaxed. Huh. As it turns out, it's okay to occasionally step away from ALL screens.
